Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance? What about health share programs?

I operate as a private pay practice, with the full balance due by 36 weeks of pregnancy. I do work with health share programs, but payment is still required in full by 36 weeks, regardless of when the health share disburses funds. If you'd like to seek reimbursement from your insurance, I can provide a super bill at your six-week postpartum visit for you to submit.

What is your travel radius for a home birth?

I attend home births within a 60-minute drive of my office in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. If you're outside that radius but still hoping to work with me, reach out—we might be able to find a way to make it work!

Do you do bloodwork and ultrasounds?

Yes! I perform blood draws in my office, and all necessary lab work is included in your global fee. If you need an ultrasound, I can refer you to a trusted imaging center. Payment for ultrasounds is handled directly with the imaging center, and they may offer the option to bill your insurance or accept out-of-pocket payment.

How do I know if I’m a good candidate for home birth?

Most healthy, low-risk pregnancies are great candidates for home birth! During our initial consultation, we’ll review your health history and pregnancy details to ensure home birth is a safe option for you. I’m happy to support VBAC, breech, and twin births, but there are some conditions that might make home birth less suitable, such as uncontrolled medical conditions like Type 1 diabetes or chronic high blood pressure, or certain pregnancy complications. If you have any concerns or uncertainties, I’m happy to discuss your situation to help you make the best decision for you and your baby.
